Web Tools for WoW Nerds
About Me
I’m an avid gamer and web developer and the Roll Initiative Tools bring that all together. I have a special love for collecting and displaying data in meaningful ways especially when there are no tools to easily do that. Most of the tools have come from my own peeves with other sites (World of Logs doesn’t have a compare feature nor a way to “see” classes compared against each other, all the good armory sites have gone under so getting achievement information on characters at-a-glance has been harder).
WoW Experience
I’ve been playing a feral druid for the last couple of years raiding at a fairly high level nearly exclusively as a bear. I led a guild for about 2 years and managed to raise us up from being a world ~6000 guild to a world ~1000 guild in that time. It was also a group of pretty damn nice and awesome people. I lost the energy to lead and that guild sadly dissipated. I’m now in Roll Initiative, a guild ranked somewhere in the top 100 guilds in the US (top 300-400 world) for 25 mans. While it’s not the most meaningful, I semi-regularly rank in the top 50 for bear DPS on world of logs.
The Tools
Tools have been built using a combination of PHP, Mongo, and all the usual front-end tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). I edit with Vim because I’m old school.
Excellent work! Very well done this site. I enjoy it alot! Matt
I just wanted to say that this site is very well presented and clean.
I actually want to model our event / transaction representation inspired by this site.
Where are you located if I amy ask?
You can reply to my email.
How can we donate to this website ?
Did you play Everquest as Dellik? While entirely aware there are many Delliks as there are many almost anything, but your writing seems familiar.
Not me 🙂
oh no raidbots down 😦
Looking into it. Appears to be a server issue. Hosting company is on the job right now.
Hello, I’m wondering if you have plans to update this site to take logs from Warcraft Logs? World of Logs is no longer being updated.
It’s possible but not definite.
