Updated for Patch 5.4!

Just a quick note that World of Logs has implemented initial Siege of Orgrimmar support. I’ve gone ahead and updated Raidbots to start handling those results.

As usual with a new patch, data will be a bit hit-or-miss as information starts streaming in and WOL tweaks their boss handling. Expect wild variations over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the heads up, and great work!

I was just clicking through the rankings to prove a point (that feral is actually good melee DPS at the moment) and then suddenly the sidebar changed up and I got excited seeing ToT get moved to the Previous Tiers section.

    Long live Raidbots!

Will logs from as early as patch day the 10th be scanned?

    No Heroic/Normal distinction yet?

    • seriallos September 28, 2013 at 11:08 am

Raidbots won’t be able to differentiate until World of Logs puts the code in place. You can see their progress in a forum thread:

      http://forums.worldoflogs.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4262&start=60

It looks like combat log kill detection is more difficult this time around because of raid mechanics. I would guess another week or two until heroic/normal differentiation is in place.

Ah, thanks for the link, I hadn’t seen that. Looks like they’ll have heroic detection resolved in the next few days up through Nazgrim which will cover everyone who isn’t in the west top 200 or so. Hopefully another week or so will get a few more covering everyone who isn’t in the top 20 or so and since virtually none of those folks have public logs they’ll have a little more breathing room for the last few.

I was looking at Epeen bot and I had a suggestion to add anther ranking if possible. While looking over the world of logs during ToT, playing as a Asn rogue it was very hard for me to rank in the top 150 due to being in a west 1000ish 25m guild. Also on wow progress compared to other rogues west I don’t think I ever got under the 1000th most geared rogue. Would it be possible to add the players gear level relative to other players of there class (or even spec) then maybe make a ratio or something of there DPS compared to their gear so people could see how well there DPS is compared to their gear?

Could you look into separating regions? The (US&EU) region has access to lower scaled gear versus Asia region. A 522 item in us/eu is a 530 item in asia with increased stats. Asia also has different boss scaling, where they have 8% more health and do more damage. World of logs has broken out the Asia and (US&EU) regions for this reason. These differences are enough that I don’t think it is valid anymore to keep them lumped together.

If a heroic encounter just had increased the damage output and boss health you would still separate it out from Normal. This is the same thing just add in that in addition that the gear is different as well.

This would also prevent the problem of an individual having a top 100 us/eu parse but showing up as healing in the 40th percentile or worse.

It’s on my radar but it’s unlikely I’ll be updating to handle this. It would require a fairly large restructuring of my database that would put existing functionality at risk and I’m basically only supporting new raids as they released at this time.

Any plan to add monks into the raidbot stats? Will you be adding any other spells in the future (ie: desperate prayer, natures swiftness for druids? smoke-bomb etc).

Also, once upon a time I found the ‘potential mistakes’ area really useful, will that be getting some love anytime soon?

    • seriallos November 29, 2013 at 1:17 pm

At this point, I’m just supporting new bosses for EpeenBot and DPSBot. I don’t have plans on keeping CompareBot updated as it’s a pretty big time investment.

Hey, I love Epeenbot, but for some reason I can’t seem to get any results when I try and load my character Rygah on US-Blackrock. Any idea why? My logs are public, so they should work in theory. Thanks!

    • seriallos December 1, 2013 at 11:59 pm

Make sure the realm that shows up for your guild on WOL is what you think it is. Often times the WOL realm is not where your character actually is.

If you’re still having issues, post WOL links and I can look

      • Rygah December 5, 2013 at 2:34 am

Yeah, I still can’t seem to get it to work. Here’s the link to my most recent raid.

        http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/2969e5t0yeqzkzpr/

Thanks again! Love the site though! Just wish I could figure out why I can’t get it to work.

        • seriallos December 5, 2013 at 10:38 am

That log looks pretty weird. Sort of looks like WOL didn’t parse it properly – there are invalid kills and several bosses sort of rolled up into one fight. My guess is that WOL had issues handling the combat log and it didn’t ever get to me.

Hopefully future parses should show up properly. Don’t hesitate to contact me if there are problems in the future.

Hello, sorry for maybe asking a features already requested (i checked most recent comments but i didn’t found out! I wanted to know if you will support warcraftlogs anytime soon since WoL is slowly left to die 🙂
    Tnx a lot ^^

  10. Jason February 6, 2014 at 8:57 am

I agree with mark, warcraftlogs is growing exponentially atm, and I understand it’s probably quite a lot of work to change everything over but more and more guilds are switching over every day

  11. kongol May 22, 2014 at 2:36 am

Is this site ever going to use WCL(warcraftlogs) soon or ever? If you are working on it do you know any ETA?

  12. petr May 30, 2014 at 4:19 am

yep, should probably implement warcraftlogs as well. this would probably give you enough samples for siegecrafter, klaxxi, garrosh to have reliable data shown as well.

anyways relying only on wol will shortly see this tool here as dead as wol itself.

  13. Chris June 26, 2014 at 10:16 am

is there something wrong with my logs? It hasnt updated for the last two weeks even though the logs are public.

  14. Rowin July 30, 2014 at 11:00 am

It would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful it Raidbots worked off of Warcraft logs as more and more guilds are moving that way.

  15. Rob December 9, 2014 at 9:22 am

Any chance of an update for WoD?
